The Navas de Oro Resin plant promoted by the company Advanced Distillation Techniques of Natural Resins SL plans to start operating this campaign, since the company’s forecasts are for the plant to be completed by August 30, and this way to begin to distill, after the appropriate tests from the beginning of September. For this, the firm has already signed contracts for the supply of resin and at the doors of the plant it is already beginning to store this raw material.
This project, which is being built at the entrance of this town, will involve an investment of approximately 5 million euros, and the plant according to company sources will have the most advanced technology in distillation to obtain high quality rosins. The plant will have a treatment capacity of 8,000 tons per year of resin, and the forecasts for this first campaign are to process 2,000 tons to obtain rosé and turpentine in the first distillation.
Resins of Navas de Oro, which is the commercial brand of this business project, is an initiative of a local businessman that has been linked to this sector for thirty years, Antonio Zamora, and the implementation of this project will involve the creation of almost twenty direct jobs when the plant is at full capacity. To these direct jobs must be added that of the resingers who will benefit from the start-up of this plant in the heart of the land of Pinares.
